What’s New Since Surface Analysis '02
We’re growing…
Expect a little more of everything at Surface Analysis’03. Topping our program will be invited talks by nineteen world-renowned scientists in the areas of surface analysis techniques and applications. If early interest is any indication, these speakers will draw an exceptional crowd. In addition, your host this year is the Center for Microanalysis of Materials (CMM), a state-of-the-art facility within the University of Illinois’ Frederick Seitz Materials Research Laboratory providing surface analysis and electron microscopy capabilities to approximately 500 users annually. Most of those users reside near the Champaign-Urbana campus, so a heavy turnout for the conference is anticipated. We expect the auditorium to be filled to capacity (~200 seats).
Want more traffic? To draw more researchers from campus to the conference site, we’re holding a CMM Open House during the conference, and we’ll be advertising the vendor exhibition throughout the campus, as well. All visitors will be welcome at the exhibition -- no registration required.
To make this a complete success, we’re putting together an outstanding vendor exhibition – and we want you to be there. Please join us!
Who will attend?
Historically, the Surface Analysis and Applications conferences have attracted expert scientists as well as students studying the field. At Surface Analysis ’03, not only can you expect to see more of the scientists currently shaping the course of surface analysis, but you can meet the next generation, as well. With a reduced student registration fee and the presence of many students studying and applying these methods on our campus, we expect a substantial student registration.
